ICDE 2008 invites submissions for Advanced Technology Seminar (a.k.a. tutorial) proposals on all topics covered by the ICDE conference. Both single-session (1.5 hour) and double-session (3 hour) proposals are invited. We especially encourage seminars targeted at research/industry knowledge transfer, e.g., industrial state-of-the-art tutorials intended to inform the research community or research tutorials aimed at informing the industrial community of recent or current developments of interest. Advanced technology seminar proposals must include an abstract, an outline, a description of the target audience, a preferred duration (1.5 or 3 hours), and a short biography of the proposed presenter(s). The proposal should include enough information to provide a clear sense of the proposed scope and depth of coverage of the targeted topic(s). Finally, if the tutorial has been presented elsewhere, the proposal should indicate where and when (and what, if anything, would be different at ICDE 2008). Please submit your proposals via electronic mail to the Seminar Program Co-Chairs (see below) by June 27, 2007. Seminar proposers will be notified regarding the outcome of the selection process by October 12, 2007. For accepted proposals, proposers should be aware that the Advanced Technology Seminar slides will be made available to the ICDE participants, either in hardcopy form or on-line, and that as a result, the final version of the slides will be due on February 19, 2008.
